Methodology

The Master's program is based on an online learning approach, enhanced by the use of technological tools.

Learning is maximized through the practical application of content in real and simulated scenarios. The extensive experience of our faculty in numerous quality and patient safety improvement projects is essential for practical learning and is enriched by the contributions of former students who, for over two decades, have participated in our training programs.

Teaching
  • Teaching hours are mainly conducted through recorded and live sessions (webinars). If students’ schedules do not allow them to attend live classes, these will be recorded and available on the platform.
Practical Training
  • They are based on problem-solving applied in a real work environment. Students who do not have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a work environment at the time of completing the specialization Master's degree will be offered the option to carry out practical training through simulated cases.
Recorded monographic sessions
  • With the participation of specialists in specific topics.
Written and downloadable PDF materials for each learning unit
  • Students will have access to written materials covering the content taught in recorded sessions, as well as the bibliographic references on which they are based.
Exercises
  • In each learning unit, students will complete practical exercises related to the theoretical content covered, such as case studies, problem-solving exercises, and more.
Reading and commenting on bibliographic material
  • Students will read relevant articles to deepen their knowledge and skills developed in the sessions. These readings will lead to analytical activities, such as discussion forums and other interactive tasks.
Forums and discussion spaces
  • During the course, active participation in forums and discussion spaces will be encouraged to share experiences and foster interaction among participants.
Tutorials
  • Different tutors will guide students and provide continuous support throughout the course, assisting in both understanding the content and completing practical exercises. The tutor will be a reference point for students, encouraging them to stay on track and meet activity deadlines.
Student assessment
  • Assessment will consider the reading and viewing of content, the completion of proposed activities, and exams for each subject. The master is awarded upon passing all subjects and completing the final master project.

Final Diploma Project

It has 6 ECTS credits. Students will have a tutor who will monitor the progress of the project. They may develop a quality/safety improvement project at their center, a patient quality/safety plan, or another project decided upon with the support of the tutor.

The TFM will be submitted in December 2025, and during January 2026, the defense before a tribunal will be scheduled (via TEAMS or a similar platform).
